The Sapodilla Range encompasses the southernmost islands in Belize, comprising Tom Owens Caye, Franks Caye, Frenchman Caye, Nicholas Caye, Hunting Caye and Lime Caye.  The Sapodilla Range lies within the Sapodilla Marine Reserve.  While this area is home to the most concentrated area of beaches in all of Belize, it is still the least explored area of the country due to its remote location.  The entire Sapodilla Range is a great destination for snorkelling, fishing and diving along the main barrier reef.

A guide for activities is mandatory.  The warden for the marine reserve will visit to collect park fees of US$10.00 per person per day.

A mini-atoll with a white sandy beach and its own miniature reef surrounding a natural swimming pool, is a snorkeler’s heaven, and a few minutes by boat from the Belize Reef.

It is approximately a 1½ hour boat ride from Punta Gorda, which is approximately 40 miles to the WSW.

This cluster of islands is a great place to fish for a day or two and you’re likely to encounter good numbers of both bonefish and permit. The reef fishing on the way down to the Sapodillas is excellent and you may just catch your dinner on the way down.
