In the entire country there are basically only three marinas, all averaging 6 feet and two commercial docks, both averaging 30 feet. Belize Yacht Club marina is located in San Pedro and the other two, Radisson Fort George Hotel and Marina and Cucumber Beach Marina are in Belize City. One commerical dock in Belize and the other in Big Creek.
The Radisson Fort George Marina is located in Belize City. It can accommodate a maximum of two regular yachts with 6 to 6½ feet draft. With 6½ feet you are almost sitting in the mucky mud on the bottom. Yachts with 6 feet would use it, but above that engineers and captains alike complain that the water suction starts sucking up too much muck and the motors start running hot. This marina is 
totally exposed to the prevailing southeasterly wind.
Even so though, this is the marina that most yachts on the hook use as a staging area for picking up guests, crew, petrol, supplies, flowers, shopping, dropping off garbage, etc.
