Generally, permission for the use of submersibles in the country of Belize must be given by the Fisheries Department. Thereafter, depending on the area or areas you wish to use the submersible then permission may be needed from another organization. If the given area is a marine reserve or protected area being managed by an organization then we will need another permit from the said organization. Both the Blue Hole and Lighthouse Reef Area are managed by the Belize Audubon Society and as such permission must be obtained from them for the use of the submersible in this area.
