In general the Government of Belize in Belize allows for the use of skies.
The managers of most of the Marine Reserves, National Protected Areas or National Parks have taken it on their own to forbid the use of jet skies within the confines of the areas managed by them.
The use of jet skies are pemitted in
Hol Chan Marine Reserve – managed by Hol Chan Marine Reserve Trust Fund Committee
Blue Hole Natural Monument – managed by the Belize Audubon Society
Half Moon Caye Natural Monument – managed by the Belize Audubon Society
Port Honduras Marine Reserve - managed by TIDE.
To our knowledge it is only the marine reserves in southern Belize that does not permit the use of jet skies, namely
The Gladden Spit & Silk Cayes Marine Reserve – managed by SEA Belize (Southern Environmental Association)
Laughing Bird Caye National Park – managed by SEA Belize (Southern Environmental Association)
Sapodilla Cayes Marine Reserve – managed by SEA Belize (Southern Environmental Association)
