Fishing permits need to be arranged for all those desirous of fishing and yes we can arrange for the both the fishing permits and fishing guides. Almost all marine reserves in Belize have areas where fishing is restricted. If your guests are interested in fishing, we could arrange for either
- Full day
- Half day fishing trips
Depending on what are of the country you are in arrangements can be made for the fishing guide to rendezvous with the yacht and to take your anglers fishing.
The prices below are based on the fishing guide picking up your anglers on the stern of your boat here in Belize City and dropping them back off there, however if the yacht is located at Turneffee or other locations nearby, but outside of Belize City, then there would be an additional charge of US$100.00 for pickup/drop off outside Belize City area.
In the Belize City area there is basically three types of fishing available, namely
- River fishing
- Reef fishing
- Flats fishing
Once you are in the southern waters fishing trips can of course still be arranged, however prices would vary, depending on your location. We would be pleased to give you a quotation on a case per case basis.
Up to three persons can be accommodated per boat for river or reef fishing, however for flats fishing one person, maximum two due to the fact of the flats being real shallow.
In order to be able to get a fishing guide from one of the offshore resorts, like Turneffee Flats we would need to know about a week in advance to make those arrangements and their charge is US$350.00 per day with a minimum charge of two days.
