Ladyville is home to the only International Airport in the entire country of Belize and it is called the Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE).   As such the Philip Goldson International Airport (PGIA) is the only authorized entry and departure point for ALL international flights.  PGIA is located 10 miles (16 km) from Belize City in Ladyville or approximately a 20 minute drive from Belize City.

The airport officially opens at 06:00, but is not really ready to receive flights until around 06:30 as an inspection must first be done to the runway. The airport closes at sunset.

The airport can be opened after normal working hours, subject to the payment of overtime charges.

Taxiways

The PGIA is equipped with three (3) taxiways designated as Alpha, Bravo and Charlie. All three taxiways are 75 feet wide. Alpha is 2,740 feet in length with 25 feet wide non-load bearing shoulders, while Bravo and Charlie are 484 feet long with no shoulders.

The parking apron at the PGIA is 615,800 sq. ft. with a declared strength of 86 LCN. There are 7 parking slots available for nose-in parking.
