All major supermarkets in Belize City and San Pedro do accept credit cards. The florist also accepts credit card. The fresh produce supplier, open air market, fish market, dairy vendor, and many of the other stores DO NOT accept credit cards. US dollars cash is also readily accepted at the rate of US$1.00 to BZ$2.00.
Please be aware that some establishments may accept credit cards, but they may also levy a surcharge.
